Bond set at $250,000 for man charged with murder after shooting in St. Dennis neighborhood


A man is being held on $250,000 bond in connection with a deadly shooting over the weekend in the St. Dennis neighborhood.Bryan James Bruce III was arraigned Monday on a murder charge, pleading not guilty, according to court records. The judge then set his bond to $250,000.Bruce was arrested Sunday following the shooting that was reported around 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the 4700 block of Clarion Court near Rockford Lane and Cane Run Road.According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, officers found the victim suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.James was seen on surveillance video driving up to the victim and shooting him as he was walking down the street, according to arrest records. He then exited the vehicle and continued to shoot the victim as he laid on the ground, police said.The coroner has not identified the victim.Detectives have not released additional details surrounding the shooting. James was ordered to not have any contact with the family of the victim.His next court appearance is July 13.
