Des Moines police investigating after man shot multiple times

DMPD: Victim in Thursday morning shooting has died

Des Moines police said a man found with gunshot wounds Thursday morning has died from his injuries.Police said the victim is a 36-year-old Des Moines man. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification. According to police, the incident happened at an apartment in the 3400 block of Forest Avenue just after 7 a.m.Police are interviewing witnesses and examining evidence in the case. DES MOINES, Iowa —

Des Moines police said a man found with gunshot wounds Thursday morning has died from his injuries.

Police said the victim is a 36-year-old Des Moines man. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.

According to police, the incident happened at an apartment in the 3400 block of Forest Avenue just after 7 a.m.

Police are interviewing witnesses and examining evidence in the case.

No suspect information has been released. This is the sixth homicide in Des Moines in 2022.
