Drug charges against Iowa CBD store owner dropped after law changes

Felony charges brought against a Des Moines woman over sales of CBD products in her metro stores have been dismissed after a change in Iowa law.In December of 2019, police arrested 33-year-old Lacie Navin at the Your CBD Store in Ankeny after receiving a complaint that the store was selling illegal products.She was charged with controlled substance violations and unlawful tax stamp violations — all felony crimes. According to court records, the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement task force entered Navin’s stores, purchased CBD products and then placed her under arrest.On July 2, court documents show charges against Navin were dismissed and her arrest record can be expunged at her request. Iowa law now allows for CBD product sales.Navin operates Your CBD stores in Ankeny, Urbandale and West Des Moines.

Felony charges brought against a Des Moines woman over sales of CBD products in her metro stores have been dismissed after a change in Iowa law.
